Los Cabos,
Baja California Sur
Where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean meet — home of El Arco, world-class resorts, and endless adventure at the tip of the Baja Peninsula.
About Los Cabos
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México
Located at the tip of the Baja California Sur Peninsula, Los Cabos is world-renowned for its spectacular desert landscapes and crystal-clear beaches — also known as the "Capital of Marlin" and home of the iconic El Arco, where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean converge at "Land's End." Today it stands among the most prestigious international tourism destinations on earth.
Just over 40 years ago, Los Cabos was a modest fishing village established since colonization with little population. Its extraordinary geography — a rugged desert meeting two distinctly different seas — is what transformed it from a quiet outpost into a world-class destination, attracting travelers from every corner of the globe.
Today, Los Cabos is home to some of the most luxurious resorts in the world, first-class marinas, and the largest billfish tournament on the planet. Its golf courses consistently rank among the global top 100. A thriving culinary scene — led by internationally trained chefs using local Baja ingredients — makes gastronomy one of the destination's most compelling assets.
Whether you arrive for the surf, the sport fishing, the nightlife of the Marina District, or simply to watch humpback whales breach from a pristine beach, Los Cabos delivers an experience impossible to find anywhere else. Transroute connects you to every corner of this destination in comfort and style.

Travel Tips
What to know before you arrive
Book your transfer in advance
Los Cabos SJD Airport can be busy, especially December–March. Pre-booking guarantees a driver waiting at arrivals regardless of flight delays.
Respect the Pacific swimming rules
Pacific-side beaches have strong currents and no-swim flags. Medano Beach and bay-side areas are the safest for swimming. Always check flag colors.
Bring USD or exchange at the airport
USD is accepted almost everywhere. ATMs dispense pesos at competitive rates. Avoid exchanging at hotels — rates are significantly worse.
Hurricane season: June – October
The East Pacific hurricane season can bring tropical storms. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Most storms affect late August to October.
Whale watching: January – March
Humpback and gray whales pass through the Sea of Cortez during winter. Many resorts offer whale-watching tours — ask your hotel or Transroute concierge.
Tipping culture
Service staff rely on tips. Restaurant: 15–20%. Hotel housekeeping: $1–2 USD/day. Airport porters: $1–2 USD/bag. Drivers: typically included in Transroute rates.
